Play to Learn : Authenticating Learning

The renowned psychologist Jean Piaget once said that play is the work of childhood. In other words, although we often assume that play is a relief from serious learning, it is actually serious learning for children. Authentic learning is meaningful as it engages all the senses and children are able to connect real life tasks or simulated tasks to their own reality which takes on a particular meaning to them. This month, children were engaged in various outdoor and indoor activities, from making bubble teas to navigating roads and obstacles.
