Play to Learn: Enhancing Motor Skills

Motor skills enable children to perform everyday tasks and activities on a daily basis. Gross motor skills use larger muscles in the body and this may include movements such as rolling, crawling and running while fine motor skills involve finer muscles of the body. The importance of these skills is parallel to other developments of a child and activities are organised daily to help the children of the WhyteHouse acquire and master these skills so that they will have more confidence in their ability to engage and be involved in exploring more of the world around them.
